Captions and Accessibility for AI Video

Captions are not just a publishing checkbox. They are part of the information design of a video and need the same review as the spoken script.

Start with a clean transcript

Use a readable transcript as the source for captions and correct names, numbers and jargon.

Keep caption timing natural

Break captions at meaningful phrases and leave enough time for viewers to read them comfortably.

Use strong contrast

Place captions over a stable background or add a subtle text background so they remain readable.

Avoid text overload

Show only the words needed for the current moment and avoid stacking multiple messages.

Describe important visuals

Say what the viewer needs to know when an important result is shown only visually.

Check audio quality

Review voice clarity, music volume and pauses on both headphones and phone speakers.

Review motion and flashing

Avoid distracting rapid effects that make the content harder to follow or uncomfortable to watch.

Test without sound

Watch the final export muted and confirm that the story and next action still make sense.
